Regression-Based Business Valuation Calculator

Find out the EV/2026 EBITDA multiple and enterprise value of your business using a live regression on our cross-sector trading comparables dataset.

How it works

The tool fits EV/2026E EBITDA against growth and margin across a curated universe of public comparables, then applies the regression to your inputs to estimate a fitted multiple and enterprise value range.

This tool provides an indicative valuation reference based on public comparables and regression analysis. It is not formal valuation advice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is regression-based business valuation?

It is a statistical valuation method that fits EV/2026E EBITDA against operating drivers (revenue growth and EBITDA margin) across a curated universe of public comparables, and then applies the fitted relationship to your company's inputs to estimate a multiple and enterprise value.

What inputs do I need to use the calculator?

Three forward-looking figures: your 2026E EBITDA, your 2026E EBITDA margin (%) and your average revenue growth over 2026–2028 (%).

Which companies are in the comparable set?

A cross-sector universe of listed companies drawn from our trading comparables dataset, sourced from MarketScreener consensus forecasts and refreshed monthly.

How is the implied EV/EBITDA multiple calculated?

We blend two regressions: 80% weight on the growth-implied multiple and 20% on the margin-implied multiple. The blended multiple is then bounded to the 10th–90th percentile of the dataset to avoid extrapolation beyond observed values.

Why is the valuation shown as a range?

Public-market regressions carry estimation noise and a private business attracts a liquidity and size discount. We show a base case with a ±15% band to reflect this uncertainty.

How does this differ from sector-specific multiples?

Sector multiples take the median EV/EBITDA of peers in your subsector. The regression instead prices the specific growth and margin profile of your business across the whole universe, which is useful when your operating metrics differ materially from the sector median.

Is this a formal valuation?

No. The tool provides an indicative valuation reference based on public comparables and regression analysis. For a formal valuation we run a full review including refined parameters, precedent transactions and business-plan stress testing — get in touch to request one.

How often is the underlying data refreshed?

The comparables dataset is refreshed monthly on the 15th, capturing latest consensus forecasts for 2026E EBITDA, margin and revenue growth.
